It’s hard to forget this classic romantic comedy from 1961. It remains to be a gem, as it launched no less than hundreds of iconic looks. We are not even exaggerating! Thanks to Audrey Hepburn who showed us how to look like an American Royalty. With that petite black dress, an artsy up-do, and those strings of pearls, she created a look that influenced that became a hallmark of fashion.

Holly Golightly’s looks in the entire movie have to be the most iconic looks in the past four decades. The chic simplicity and the grandeur of this marvelous movie continue to inspire us year after year. If you haven’t watched the movie, you must. The Great Gatsby

The 2013 adaptation of The Great Gatsby gives us many fashion goals. And the movie is equally inspiring for both genders in terms of fashion. Thanks to Leonardo DiCaprio for flawlessly depicting and performing the role of Jay Gatsby.

Catherine Martin, the creator of the movie’s wardrobe and the wife of the director, Baz Luhrmann, rallied her contacts from the fashion industry and ended up creating incredibly glamorous costumes. Reportedly, Miuccia Prada designed around 40 dresses and Brooks Brother designed 1,200 suits. Carey Mulligan Daisy’s diamond headpieces from the ‘20s era were designed by Tiffany & Co. It is one of the most stylish movies to have ever released by Australia.

The Devil Wears Prada

One of the best fashion movies ever made! This isn’t just any fashion movie, this is how a fashion movie supposed to be made. No wonder Meryl Streep was nominated for an Oscar for her character as Miranda Priestly. The movie managed to get the film-buff credibility that it essentially needed. The movie comes with some other glamourous looks too. Don’t miss Anne Hathaway’s Chanel ensemble and the cameo flaunted by Gisele Bündchen.

Moulin Rouge!

Another Baz Luhrmann’s creation! This 2001 masterpiece of the said director boasted of some of the best costumes ever designed by his wife and costume designer, Catherine Martin. The Academy Award winner designer dazzled us with some stunning outfits in this movie. The 1902 Paris circa bohemia setting brings about intricate and bejeweled corsets. You will fall in love with the feathered negligee too. And the unforgettable crimson gown flaunted by Satine (Nicole Kidman).

Ocean’s Eight

We loved the girl power in the all-female remake of this movie. The cast was star-studded with celebrated fine performers like Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway, Cate Blanchett, and Rihanna to name a few. The story itself is thoroughly entertaining that revolves around a massive jewelry heist at the Met Gala. In addition to the eight stylish protagonists, the movie also boasts of designer-clad appearances from celebs like Gigi Hadid, Dakota Fanning, Serena William, and Kim Kardashian West.

Crazy Rich Asians

This is the story of some of the wealthiest families of Asia and their incredibly lavish lifestyles. The star-studded cast boasts of some major couture moments. You can’t miss the wedding dress of Araminta Lee, the fictitious bride, that was Swarovski-encrusted. Astrid Leong’s vintage looks, which were donned by the most stylish woman of Asia, are worth drooling. The red-carpet moments off-screen, were also epic in terms of high-caliber fashion costumes.

A Simple Favor

Before we discuss the fashion in this movie, let us take a moment to appreciate the flawless fashion demeanor of the beautiful, Blake Lively. Among other contemporary artists, she is the fashion diva and a great performer. And also special thanks to my friend who recommended me Spectrum TV service for watching these amazing movies.

In this movie, she plays a troubled woman who is a fashion industry employee. Her three-piece power suits, which she flaunts throughout the movie, are inspired by Paul Feig, the director of the movie. Reportedly, Paul remains clad in suits even on his off days. The fashionista that Lively is, if she had to pull off any designer suits in the movie, we are sure she would have done it effortlessly!
